Logging on
The biggest change to WebAdvisor is the login requirement. Prior to logging in, the only options available will be under the "Guests" menu - Search for Classes. Clicking the login tab and entering your username and PIN will add the menus available to you in WebAdvisor to your available list.

Logging off
When closing WebAdvisor - please be sure to log off. This will help ensure that your web browser does not retain personal information, particularly on public or lab computers. When you log off, WebAdvisor will prompt you to close the browser window as well for added security. Clicking "OK" will close your browser, while "Cancel" will allow you to keep the window open.

Design
The content of the screens has remained the same, but the appearance has been improved to more closely match the overall design of Allegheny's web content.
Nearly everything you know about the function of WebAdvisor has stayed the same. Your username and PIN have not changed. You still do the same things with WebAdvisor. Most of the pages should look very familiar to anyone who has used WebAdvisor before.
Known Problems
Clicking on the descriptions of three or more classes while searching for classes displays an error about the maximum number of cookies being reached. This problem has been referred to one of our vendors and will be resolved as soon as we are able to do so.
The following message is from the webserver. This generally indicates that the server is experiencing a heavy load and can not immediately respond to your request. Retry the page you were trying to view and this error should go away.
The following message indicates a problem with WebAdvisor. Please contact the Computer Center Help Desk at x-2755 if you receive this error.

User Password
WebAdvisor passwords are handled through the Registar's office in Bentley Hall. Your faculty advisor would have given you your WebAdvisor password when you talked with them about class scheduling. You can contact the Registar's office for help with WebAdvisor passwords. Additional information is available in the password tutorial
Website
Use a web browser to access WebAdvisor. It can be accessed from on or off campus. The URL is http://webadvisor.allegheny.edu. Most on-campus users can use the abbreviated address of just webadvisor
