WebCT: Reading a Thread and Replying to a Message in a Discussion Board

Start by selecting the topic you wish to read.

Topics contain "threads" which are messages that relate to each other through a common starting message. By default threads only show the starting message. Click on the green triangle in the Status column to expand the thread and read messages of the thread.

To read a message of the thread you click on the subject and a pop-up window will display the message you wish to read.

If you would like to comment on the content of the message you just read click reply. The a messaging window will open for you to type your message in.

Click Post

You will find yourself back at the Discussion Board. Click update listings to refresh your discussion board so that new messages display.

To read and reply to new messages repeat the process of this page.
