You will use the file management feature every time you will add, move, or remove content inside WebCT. Content here refers to files/documents that existed prior to being posted on WebCT. They can be web pages, Word or PowerPoint documents, pdf files, images, audio or video clips, zipped files.

(Note: You won't need to use the file management feature for Discussion attachments)

To get started managing your files Click Manage Files. the link is the third link under the Control Panel Visible to Designers, or the button in teh Control Panel (which canbe opened by clicking on the Control Panel button above the course menu)

Then choose the section of the tutorial of most value to what you need to accomplish:

    1. upload a file - transfer files from your PC to the WebCT server
    2. create a folder - create folders to organize content in your WebCT course
    3. unzip a file - if you have many files to transfer from your PC to your WebCT course

  2. Upload the zipped file (cf. instructions from Upload File).
  3. Check the box near your zipped file; click on "Unzip"

4. Pick the Folder (from the drop-down menu) to unzip into, and then click on "Unzip".
