Downloading Questions to Your Computer

You can download questions from any category in the Question Database to your personal computer.

Note: OET recommends that you export your question database, as it gives the user access to their quiz questions in a format that is easily imported into new WebCT courses and viewable outside WebCT by using a text editor.

A - From the Quizzes/Surveys screen

Click Question Database.

B - The Question Database screen appears.

C - Under Options: Category, from the View drop-down list,

Select All categories to download all of the questions in your database or select specific categories of questions you want to download. and click Go.

Note: If you are unsure of the category, select All categories. In the table of questions, next to each question you want to download, select the check box.

D - The table of questions appears.

Check the Select All check box to choose all questions for download.

E - Under Options: Question,

click Download questions

A browser prompt appears

In the Save As window select a folder to save your quiz questions until you need them next.

Note: It is recommended that you always save information within the My Documents folder, or one of its subfolders, so that as you regularly back up your computer files your questions will also be backed up to the network for safe keeping.

Once you have selected a folder to save to,

click Save

Note: The questions are saved as a .txt file.

F - This window will appear when the download is complete.

click Close
