iMovie (installed on the Macs in Murray 114 and Murray 116) can be used to edit your digital video. You can crop your video clips, add still images, audio, titles, transitions and effects. You can also add chapter markers, to be used for scene selection in a DVD menu. When finished editing in iMovie, you can export your video back to a digital camera, to a quicktime movie for viewing on the web, or to a DVD for viewing on a TV set with a DVD player.
While iMovie has enough power for most amatuer video editing needs, we also have Final Cut Pro available in Murray 114 and Murray 116 for those who need a professional digital video editing tool.
iMovie comes with a set of tutorial files, which can be accessed from the iMovie Help menu by clicking Help > iMovie Help and then selecting Tutorial. A color printout of this tutorial is available in Murray 114.
