Creating and reading .rtf files

Windows can create and read Rich Text Format (.rtf) files.

To create .rtf files in Windows, first create the document in Word. Choose File, Save As from the Word menu.

In the save window, choose Rich Text Format (*.rtf) from the pull down menu in the Save as type: box.

and click Save.

To read .rtf files in Windows, simply double-click the file icon. The file will open in Word.
