Printing to a Public Printer from your Personal Computer

These instructions will show you how to print from your personal computer to public printers on the network, such as the printers with the red labels in Pelletier Library. To print to a personal printer in your room, see your printer manual for instructions.

Before beginning, locate the printer you wish to use. Note the Printer Name, Printer IP and Printer Model, displayed on a label on the printer. You will need to enter this information when setting up the printer.

Printing from the Wired Network

Follow these instructions if you are connecting your laptop to the network using a wired (ethernet) connection. Select your operating system from the list below for detailed instructions on setting up and printing to the printer. If your operating system is not listed, please call the Help Desk at 2755 for assistance.

Printing from the Wireless Network

If you are connected to the wireless network and are running Windows 2000, Windows XP or Mac OS X, follow these instructions to set up a printer in the Library or Caflisch 24/7 computer lab.
