Inserting a Blank Slide
To insert a blank slide from Slide Sorter view, click in the space right before the first slide so that the black cursor appears befor that slide (or click in the space you would like the slide to go, if you do not want this slide to be the first slide in your presentation) and then go to Insert> New Slide.
Select a Blank Slide from the slide types available. Click OK.
You will notice that the blank slide is not actually blank because it has background graphics. To remove the background, select the slide and go to Format> Background
A box will open where you can edit the background graphics or omit them. Click on the box next to "Omit background graphics from master" and select Apply. If you click on Apply to All, it will remove all background graphics from your entire presentation.
You may notice that there is still background color to your slide. If this is the case. Go back to Format>Background. Click on the down arrow next to the color of the background and select More Colors :
In the More Colors window, select the color you want this blank slide to be (white or black perhaps) and then click OK.
You will then be brought back to the Background window. Click Apply. You will now have a blank slide.
To insert a slide place your mouse right before the slide you would like the slide to be inserted before (or right after the slide you want it inserted after) and go to Insert> New Slide
