Tagging Entries

Tagging is the act of associating keywords with an item that you and others can use to find, categorize and group content. Movable Type allows users to add tags to individual posts that are easily searchable from blogging search engines like Technorati.

Note: Before you can start tagging your entries you need to customize the display of the Create New Entry page to include the Tags field.

1. Create your entry using the Create New Entry page as you would for any post.

2. Type 'keywords' that based on the subjects contained within the entry. You can use more than one keyword per entry and you can use multiple words per 'keyword' by separating the keywords with a comma. For example you may enter iPhone, mobile blogging, Blogger for the keywords about a post using the iPhone to post entries to a blog on Blogger.

3. Make sure that you have configured your blog to 'ping' Technorati as you post your new entries.
