1. The quickest way to change your weblog's settings and preferences is clicking on the 'Settings' link on the Movable Type's entry page once you log in.
2. When you click that link the 'General Settings' page loads. This page is also accessible from any page in Movable Type by clicking the 'Settings' link in the navigation menu. On this page you can also link to pages that set New Entry Defaults, Feedback (commenting and trackback) options, Publishing preferences, and Plugins. (If you do not see all these options, click the Switch to Detailed Settings link to the right of the Plugins link.)
3. This page is where you can set details that help identify the weblog( ie. Weblog Name), how to display entries, and how the content can be used.
4. This page lets you set the default options for new posts like accepting comments and trackbacks or third-party notification.
5. The Feedback tab allows you to set the how comments and trackbacks are accepted for your posts. By having stricter settings you minimize your chances of attracking comment spammers. Learn more about settings that help limit comment spamming on your blog.
6. This configuration page provides Movable Type the necessary information to publish your blog and how to archive your posts. These settings are configured for you when the blog is created. It is recommended that you do not change these settings without great thought.
7. MovableType now has many plugins that you can add to your blog to gain advanced features. Some of the plugins have been added by default but others are available through the Six Apart web site.
