That is actually the second question you have. The first being why do I need a Web Services password.
A Web Services password allows you to integrate web based applications like Flickr or delicious with your movable type blog. In addition to your Web Services password - which this tutorial will help you set up - you need to know the location of a Movable Type script needed to publish content from services like Flickr and delicious.

1. Log on to Movable Type and click on your username in the upper right-hand corner of the Movable Type blog administration page to access your profile page. .
2. In the Password section of the Author Profile page find the Web Services Password field.
3. Type in a Web Services Password and click Save Changes.
Note: This will not change the password you use to log on to Movable Type. For security purposes you may want to use a different password for your Web Services password than you use for logging in to Movable Type.
4. If you forget your Web Services Password click the Reveal link and Movable Type will show you your Web Services password.
