Allegheny College Computing Services (ACCS) will make a reasonable effort to install PDA's or Smartphones purchased by an employee for use at work. Due to varying computer configurations and levels of PDA compatibility, ACCS can not guarantee that all PDA's will work with campus computers and software.
ACCS recommends PDA's or mobile phones utilizing PalmOS/Access version 3 or higher for best compatibility. The synchronization of PDA's running other systems (Windows Mobile, RIM/Blackberry, Apple iPhone...) require an additional component to MeetingMaker that Allegheny does not have at this time. not compatible with MeetingMaker and are not currently supported by ACCS.
MeetingMaker's To-Do List, Contact List, and Calendar sync with Palm-compatible PDA's and smartphones. However, due to differences in PDA models and PC configurations, ACCS can not guarantee all of these features at 100% compatibility. Please contact User Services if you are considering connecting your PDA to your work PC, or if you are considering the purchase of a new PDA or smartphone that you wish to synchronize with MeetingMaker.
