Creating and Modifying Meetings

There are three ways to create a meeting. The first is to go to the File menu, and choose "New Activity/Meeting". The second is to choose the first item on the taskbar "Create Activity/Meeting" The third is described below:

Choose the day you wish to schedule on the Monthly Navigator at the bottom of the taskbar.

Once you've found the day on which your meeting falls, left-click and drag an area that covers the amount of time you'd like to reserve for your meeting.

Don't worry about lining the box up with the exact start and end times. There is an opportunity to change them later. However, to make it easier to get the times right the first time, you may notice that MeetingMaker snaps to the nearest 15-minute intervals. (If you want to start your meeting on another time like 8:10 or 10:40, you can change this later as well.)

Once you let go of your mouse button, a new meeting will appear on your calendar. You have the option of entering in a title for your meeting. After that, you can either double-click the meeting to enter further details, or skip directly to Invite Guests to propose the meeting to other users.

Upon double-clicking a meeting, you have the opportunity to re-title your meeting and specify a location on the Details tab. This tab also allows you to adjust the time slot, frequency, and provide an agenda.

The Options tab allows you to change the type of reminder, label a meeting, mark it as private (which will hide the contents from those who can view your calendar), or mark it flexible (which allows you to schedule another event at the same time).

The Guests tab is covered in on the page regarding proposals and inviting guests.
