Converting a JPEG image file into an Adobe PDF file

This tutorial assumes that you have a JPEG (or JPG) image file that you wish to convert to the Adobe PDF file format. If you wish to scan a file and convert it into a PDF file but do not have access to Adobe Photoshop, save the file as a JPEG file and use this tutorial. If you do have access to Photoshop you may want to use our tutorial for using it to convert scanned images into PDF files.

If you need help with scanning files, see our tutorial for that.

A- The first thing you need to do is collect or scan the document(s) you wish to convert into PDF format. If you are scanning, regardless of what scanning software you use, be sure to save the image files as JPEG (or JPG) files.

Once you have your images ready, open the folder in which they are stored. Locate an image that you wish to convert and right-click on it. A menu will appear.

B - From this menu choose the option to "Convert to Adobe PDF".

C - This will launch Adobe Acrobat and you should see a screen very similar to the following.

D - From here you need to save your file. At the top, just under the Document menu choice is a Save button with a picture of a disk. Click that button.

E - This will bring up the familiar Save As... dialog box. Give your PDF file a name and choose where to save it. Finally, hit the Save button.

And that's all there is. If you have more files to convert, go ahead and do so now, following the same process.
