Can I change the default font for my mail?
Yes. Click Tools > Options and select the Fonts
icon. Be sure to click OK after the selections
have been made.
How do I create a signature to attach to my outgoing mail?
Begin by selecting Tools > Signatures. Right-click
in the Signatures window and select New.. to create
your signature. Then be sure to designate the new signature as your
default by clicking Tools > Options and selecting
the Composing Mail icon. Select your signature
as the Default Signature and click OK. Full instructions,
with screenshots, for creating and using a signature file are available
in the signature tutorial.
Whenever I reply to a message the entire previous message
is included. Can I set an option to not include the previous message?
No, the previous message is automatically included when you select
reply. However, if you only want part of the original message quoted
when you reply, you can select the part you want quoted before clicking
the reply button. If you don't want the any of the previous message
included, you must manually delete it or copy and paste the email
address from the old message to a new one.
How do Read Receipts work in Eudora?
Unlike some mail systems, when you request a Read Receipt in Eudora
recipients are asked if they want the receipt sent. If they answer
no, no Read Receipt is sent. A Read Receipt request must be requested
for each message. There is no way to automatically request one with
all sent mail.
Is it possible to attach entire folders to a mail message?
No. Although many files can be attached to a single mail message,
each file must be attached separately.
How do I set up Eudora to use my fullname email address?
Email sent to your fullname email address will be received in the
same inbox with email sent to your default email address when you
check your Allegheny email. If you would like to change your Eudora
settings so that your email is sent from your fullname
email address, please see this tutorial.
How do I display the message header information
Double click on the message, once the message is open is the full view,
click the "blah blah blah" button from the toolbar. This will expand the
headers and there will be an ip address of where the mail originated. You
can use the mail forward option to send the message with the header information
to any mail recipient if needed.
Here's a sample header:
