The projector is controlled through the Projector Remote located in the podium cabinet.
Podium PC -- located in the podium cabinet
Projector Remote -- located in the podium cabinet
DVD/VCR combo -- located in the podium cabinet
To lower the projector screen press DOWN on the switch labeled UP \ DOWN located on the wall behind the podium. Press UP to raise the screen.
Press the POWER button on the remote to turn the projector on and off.
While the projector is on, use the remote to switch between different displays. There are four different displays: Video 1, Video 2, Computer 1, and Computer2.
The COMPUTER and VIDEO buttons on the remote, control these displays. When a display is selected, its name will be projected briefly on the screen. For example, if you select Computer 1, then the words “Computer 1” will be displayed on the screen in the lower left hand corner.
Press the COMPUTER button until “Computer 1” is selected.
Press the VIDEO button until “Video 2” is selected. The remote with SHARP written on it is located on the shelf under the podium and can be used to operate the VCR. Hit the VCR button on the SHARP remote to make sure you are operating the VCR controls.
Plug the monitor cable and Ethernet cable into your laptop. These cables are located next to the monitor on the podium. The Ethernet cable is optional but is needed to access the internet/network. There is a power strip under the podium for you laptop's power cord.
Press the VIDEO button until “Computer 2” is selected. If there is no image being displayed you can press F8 or Fn + F8 on your laptop or just restart your computer. If there is still no image being displayed you may need to adjust the resolution of your computer screen to no higher than 1024 x 768 pixels.
If you would like to temporarily hide an image or screen from being displayed by the projector without turning it off, press the FREEZE / BLANK button. A blank screen will be displayed. Press the key again to resume viewing the display.
