Computing Services will offer technology workshops for the college community on a variety of topics ranging from tips on organizing your files to an overview of web 2.0 tools and everything in between.

NITLE Instructional Technology Workshop Registration Deadline

Friday, April 4th is the registration deadline for the NITLE workshops on teaching students who grew up in the digital age.

The workshops Teaching Digital Immigrants and Visual Literacy: Tools for Teaching and Learning with Images still have spaces available. Both workshops are full-day sessions that will be offered on May 15 and 16 respectively.

Participation in these workshop is open to members of the Allegheny community and faculty, librarians, and technologists from peer colleges of the NITLE network. Visit the online registration form before Friday April 4 to reserve your place in these workshops.

The registration period for the remaining instructional technology workshop remains open until a week prior to the workshop.

Summer Instructional Technology Workshops

Instructional technologists are finalizing plans for this summer's instructional technology workshops. This year's workshops address pedagogical and technical issues surrounding instructional tools currently deployed at Allegheny.

The workshops take many forms including whole-day workshops, partial-day workshops and lunch discussions. The technologies and pedagogies addressed by the workshops include teaching technology savvy students, visual literacy, Sakai, using images in teaching and RefWorks.
