Online Gaming at Allegheny College
Online multiplayer games are becoming more popular at Allegheny College. These online games allow players to enter a
virtual world with thousands of other players online. Players create a character to complete tasks, which earn them
experience to improve their level. Some of these require a monthly fee in order to participate.
Technical and Network Services (TNS) at Allegheny College understands that in addition to studying students need time for
recreation. Because of this TNS is working with a special interest group, the Legion of Allegheny Gamers (LAG), to
make the experience of online gaming at Allegheny an enjoyable one.
LAG is an offical club sponsored by ASG. The members of LAG use various types of systems for online gaming. These
systems include the Sony Playstation 2, X Box, personal computers and the new X Box 360. LAG hosts several
tournaments throughout the academic school year and give prizes for the winners of these tournaments.
If you have a game that does not seem to work correctly you need to contact the Legion of Allegheny Gamers. They
compile lists of games that are played at Allegheny and submit them on a regular basis to TNS. Technical and
Network Services tries to support as many games as possible.
